Hope it fits! I went by the size of my regular hat. Looks like it should be a good fit, my head isn't that big Laughing

Billed beaver caps were popular among my old buckskinning buddies....and I always wanted one. But when a dog got into my jeep and stole my coyote skin hat I had made from one I had tanned, I took the balance of the hide and covered a leather forage cap I got from Green River Forge back in the day. Turned out nice and I still have it, though it has to be sub zero to wear it because it is so warm.

Jon....your badger hat "rocks"!! t up

Don't hunt in it. You'll be shot for sure.

I REALLY like  this hat. I have a hard time not wearing it around the house lol. Im still in NM but once I get home I plan on getting decked out in traditional gear and then go do some shooting and take pics.

Cute Jon, but you need an eye patch.

I've been wanting a critter foot hat for awhile now. It looks great.

I love it. Wish it got cold enough here to justify a fur hat.

Looks cool, unique.  Just one thing.  A buddy of mine commented on my rabbit fur hat, "dang that thing looks warm...just hope you don't plan to wear it out in the woods to hunt.  Some dude is liable to mistake you for a six foot rabbit..."  I had never even thought about that problem until he said that.

A gentleman (friend) Jim Ware from WY use to make these hats (hundreds of them) sold by about every trader in the mid west back in the 70's and 80's. Then he started making the harness for horse teams like Coors and Bubwieser super expensive and ended up dropping the hats. Still makes the harness for the horse groups but now has the contract for the leather saddle bags that Harley Davidson sells. From a poor kid to a very comfortable guy with a nice horse ranch to play on when not working.
See guys not all the old buckskinners turned into drunks....  affraid It all started with one of these hats... Rolling Eyes
