Tried both 50 and 52 grains IMR 4831 with 180gr soft points. No good! Best I got was 1 1/2" @ 100 yards. I was having a thrown shot on either #2 or #3 which at times, opened the group up to almost 3 inches.

Had some factory Herters ammo from basspro, took 3 shots and came away with a 5/8" group!

Going to reload with some H380 next time and see how that does.

That Herters is a huge step up over bulk russian ammo thats for damn sure LOL.

Do you check concentricty of your reloads?  I've found that one of every 10 or so is over 6 or 7 mils.  Makes for a flyer.  Factory ammo is usually nice and concentric but not always.

Anyways, my 2 cents.

Well, this is with 46.2 grains H4895 at 100 yards with the 150gr PPU bullet tips and CCI primers.

Looking good!  I think I'd stick with the H4895.  It is a great powder.
