| UPS delivered mine today! I ordered one last week to try out in my thumbhole Optima and after greasing it up and seating it with the tool and shooting it a few times, everything looked perfect. Again, zero crud ring with the American Pioneer 3f powder with Winchester W209 primers. Can't wait to see how much i have to adjust my scope when the BH209 arrives.
Very cleanly machined as well. No blow back but my head space is adjusted tight for W209 primers at the moment. I think the CCI 209 Mags will need just a tiny bit of adjustment. _________________ I shoot, |

| Did you get the CVA "model" breechplug or did you get it directly from Blackhorn (Westrn) Powder??
I guess Blackhorn sells it as a kit with cleaing tools and an "O" ring to help seat the primer.
Can you use the BH 209 Breechplug to shoot other brands loose powder?? I thinbk you can, but can't use it to shoot pellets. |

| i bought mine off the www.cva.com website.
Yes the bh209 BP works perfect with other loose powders. In fact with the original style plug i used to get a bad crud ring with american pioneer. With the hollowed out BH209 plug, zero crud ring or hard loading. _________________ I shoot, |

| Ok so I need some help. I pretty close to buying a CVA Optima and have a few questions. I am looking to do the following.
1) set up the factory breech plug to work with BH209 and W209 primers. 2) set up the bh209 breech plug to work with BH209 and W209 primers.
How to set the head space and is it different for both breech plugs. Can I set the factory breech plug to work with bh209 with W209 primers. What space to I need to set up the Optima up to reduce the blow back.
Thanks,
pbonura

| Pbonura, have you checked out the Tune up section? Theres a whole write up and video on how to adjust the head space. I went from a factory QRBP to the new BH209 plug and everything was still set up fine. _________________ I shoot, |
