| Hey fellas, just looking for some opinions since I am a little wishy washy... I am about to mount a scope on my new Accura V2. I have a Zeiss conquest 3-9x40 and a Nikon prostaff 3-9x50. Both scopes are brand new. I have compared them and think the Zeiss is brighter and crisper but the guy at my local gun shop said I should save the Zeiss for a centerfire rifle and use the cheaper Nikon Prostaff on my muzzleloader. I bought the Zeiss for the Acurra but am now having some second thoughts. Any opinions on which one to mount to the CVA??? All coments are welcome Sam |

| Well, without a question the Zeiss is the superior scope.
If you have something else to put the Zeiss on that will be shooting longer distances, I guess I'd lean that way.
There's nothing wrong with the Nikon proStaff, I have one on the Optima I just bought and it would do in any hunting situation I have ever seen.
Since in most cases, not necessarily all, you will be shooting shorter distances with the Accura than any centerfire, I guess I'd side with your gun shop guy.
If all of your shots will be 100 yds and in, it won't make any difference.
It's a nice problem to have!!! _________________ [i]Some people are like slinkys, sort of worthless, but they still make you smile when you push them down the stairs.y

| Yeah....lol...Just happened to get a great deal on the Nikon so I got it. Just coincidence that I have them both at the same time. The only other gun I have that could use a scope is my Ruger .243 but I hardly ever use it. The prostaff seemed nice just thinking of low light. Not expecting to shoot over 100-125 yards in a hunting scenerio. |

| I say put the best scope you can afford on your muzzleoader. Some disagree with me though. |

| Well, I guess part of it depends on which gun you plan to use as your primary hunting weapon.
I actually was bidding on a Zeiss Conquest on Ebay, but it went higher than I wanted to go, but it was still a good deal for whoever bought it. I would have loved to have it!
The Nikon ProStaff is a good scope, but the Zeiss is just superior.
It really comes down to personal preference, but for me, the amount of usage of the gun has impact on the decision making process too.
You can always try it one way and then switch the scopes if you decided you wanted to.
The good news here is that you already have both and don't need to make a buying choice. _________________ [i]Some people are like slinkys, sort of worthless, but they still make you smile when you push them down the stairs.y

| Put the Zeiss on the rifle that you will be shooting the most! _________________ I shoot, |

| Without question. The Zeiss. It's a great scope, and you did buy it for the Accura. It will give you all the light your eye can handle. You'll gain nothing with the 50mm. _________________ Pete

| Put the Zeiss on the ACCURA and you will not regret it. I have a Burris Six-X on one of my ACCURA, a 600.00 plus scope with a 30 mmm tube on it and I have Leupold's VX-R 4 x12 x 50 on some other ML's and I would not change anything. CArlos |
