Picked up some 2f Goex today. 100gr volume, .020" patch and .562" round ball at 50 yards. Next time out I will try the .570" ball and see how it does with the 100gr charge. Not to shabby but always room for improvement.

the .570 ball i tested today because i could not wait till tomorrow LOL. My last 2 shots were seriously inside one another. The first shot on a fouled crusty bore was the only shot that was not with it. Think it will be good to go now!

Looking at the groups we get with muzzies it's amazing that some people still think that you cannot hit the broadside of a barn with a muzzleloader...

Some guys can't. I've watched them at the range.

Pete but those same guys can't shoot groups with a nitro gun either , i've seen some where the safest place on the range is behind their targets...

They shoot the scoped CF ok, but give them open sights like we need to use here, and they can't hit a moose at 20 yds.

100 yard 5 shot group. Shots 1 and 5 are almost touching. Next time out I will set up the target so its directly facing me. My brother put the target on and it was kind of in a curve to where it was hard to see. Certainly room for improvement, so next time i may up the charge to 110gr 2f goex and see how that does.

Good enough to kill that bear you want.
