Bought a .22 LR yesterday , real dainty little number.

It's a Bayard Mod 1909 Half automatic single shot.

Any of you guys know anything about them ?

You get some odd stuff over there in Africa. The only Bayard I've ever heard of is a Bergman-Bayard auto pistol that's at least as old as your .22.

It's a single shot that ejects the spent case and stays open for a fresh round to be inserted and then you press a button to close the breech.

I'll try to upload pics later.
