 Long rifle next

I am toying with the idea of getting a long rifle next. Any brand recommendation?  Or maybe just a great plains rifle.Cool

I'd go for a Lyman rifle in .54.

That wouldn't be a longrifle Spit. It's a Hawken.

Yes. The Shenandoah Rifle is basically a Virginia Rifle made in the Shenandoah Valley.

It's a style of rifle from the 1700's to early 1800's. Mostly flintlock, and a very definite look with long barrels.

The plains rifle, or Hawken style is quite different.

Yes I've seen that most long rifles have barrels that exceed 36" in length.

I think they all should be excellent offhand shooters as they all look a bit muzzle heavy.
