Don't file the barrel Ray. File the sight if it needs it, but be careful. You can't put material back on. Wink

If you can get it started, id try to tap it in. You need a very tight fit. You can see how hard it was to remove.

Like you are thinking, it probably needs to be fitted. Remember the video steps and you will get it done. Also call TC and verify which direction it is supposed to go.

He can't get it started on the left side, and he can on the right side. Which side do you think is right?

I wasn't guessing. I've been told by ML builders, and my gunsmith. The right side.

I've changed sights on a TC, GPR, and a Tradition St Louis Hawken. All were from the right side.

Smile
Thanks guys. I just got off the line with a friend of mine who has a gun drilling shop and he said to bring the rifle there on any Friday or Sat and we'll get that site in. He said he's got what ever tool or vise or drill press and shims if we need them at the machine shop.
When you get old you forget things. I should have gone by my friends shop from the get go. I would have had that sight in by now.
Thanks to all who tried to help,
Ray.............Wink
