 Bore protection

Just purchased a CVA Optima V2 SS What is the best way to clean bore and then a protector for Bore. for storage. I am presently using PYRODEX RS POWDER

Lester, For Pyrodex RS, your best cleaner will be warm soapy water to clean the bore out and for rust protection, run an alcohol soaked patch down the bore and swab after drying it. Follow up with Barricade, montana xtreme bore conditioner or their gun oil. Stay away from the waxy bore butter type of rust protection stuff, they often cause more problems then they solve.

I run a patch with neat ballistol down the bore and I've never had a gun rust.
