I tried Lin-Speed a long time ago and it left the stock tacky for days after each coat. I didn't care for it at all. I've used boiled linseed oil ever since.

I love your gun.

Butt plate is buffalo horn.  This is my first try with lin-speed, I put on 2nd coat last night and it was dry this morning. Usually use Danish oil and that is time consuming with drying time and multiple coats too.

I decided the ramrod is just too ugly.  That will change.
