PostSubject: Ease of the sabot   May 26th 2014, 11:46 am

I was able to get a range trip in yesterday. Set up is Accura V2, BH 209, cci mag primers, and smackdown SST 250 grain in the supplied yellow sabot.

My question is why is it so easy to push these down the muzzle? The pkg came with some lead hp and black sabots that were pretty snug to push down, but manageable.

As far as accuracy goes those smackdowns shot almost holes in holes at 50 yards, but opened up to about 3" at 100 yards.

Sounds like what my strikerfire did with the smackdown in that sabot, the sabots load awesome but the bullets only did roughly a 2 1/2" group. I simply changed out the bullet to the 260 pt gold and could do 1" and under.

Thinner pedals make for easier loading. The black sabots most likely are the mmp hph-24 sabots. They load a bit harder but still shoot good.

We could never get the 250's to group really well but the 300's group under an inch at 110 yds out of a Wolf.
