Since this a new category, it would be nice for everyone to see the members' handguns. It should be very interesting.

Here's 3 that I didn't post before.

Now let's see yours.  Twisted Evil

It's a .50 cal Ardesa Buckhunter with a 10" barrel .
I use her with either a 345 gr HB bullet or a 425 gr Keith nose bullet. With heavy loads she'll push that 345 grainer to nearly 1500 fps.

Here's one of the underhammer styles I make. 11yards, .375RB, 30gr of 777-FFFg, blue pillow-tick patch into a .397 inch smooth bore.

Others are different.  Embarassed

Bart, do you have a website telling more about your guns?

Some people are talented, others just save their money and buy what's available. I'm in the latter category.

Real nice looking guns, Bart. I like that .45 with the adjustable brass peep the best.   :rtup

Yes, that one is one of my favorites. Jukar .45 cal barrel, home brew underhammer action.

The other one is that red handled (Padauk wood) .50 cal. After I calm down, it shoots a single ragged hole (2nd pix).
The rear sight was changed out and grip was modified after this pix was taken.

Some of the under hammer designs are really classy. I really like the Ultimate Under hammer rifle that mix the classic lines of a side lock rifle with an under hammer action.

It will take a little time to get all ten handguns ready to post, but I'll start by posting my cap & ball revolvers that I shoot in competition.

Today, a Ruger "OLD" Army. Over 40 years old, and still delivering on targets. Last match, I shot a 97-4X (not this target) at 25 yards.

1. Ruger Old Army "Dragoon" Model .44 caliber made in 1973. "Dragoon" (not Ruger's) is an unofficial name attributed to the revolver's unique design; brass backstrap & squareback trigger guard, and the Super Blackhawk grip frame. It was also fitted with the grooved wide trigger, a Super Blackhawk revolver part. It was produced from 1973 to 1975.

I bought this in 1988, and gave it to my gunsmith, Janos Videki, here in the area, and he milled the back of the topstrap to fit a Bo-Mar rear sight, and crafted a patridge front sight. The grips are Herrett's walnut grips, full hand-checkered by local gunsmith.

I use 18 to 20 grains of Schuetzen (German) black powder, cream of wheat, .457 RB, and axle grease on top for accurate shooting out to 50 yards.

Not a great 25 yard one hand/offhand target, but you see what 20 grains can deliver on a revolver with 25,000+ rounds fired over 25 years.

Tomorrow, a Ruger Old Army .36 caliber Revolver.  ShockedShocked

That's too white and unblemished to be ivory, what is it? (the stock and the gun)

The stock is made from the horn of the extremely rare European micarta  Wink

It is a Maastrich pistol as sold by CVA from 1971 to 1974.

I heard that those European micartas are extinct now. The only population left is in Lower Plastikova.
