PostSubject: Formal Introductions...   February 27th 2015, 5:08 pm

Well I am new here and looking at getting started in a new area.

I have been hunting Colorado my whole life. Started on Rabbits and went from there. I love archery hunting elk and in the last 11 years I have killed 9 bulls.

My family hunts with me. This includes my Wife, Daughter (age 9), and son (age 5).

I teach high school level auto shop and when I am not hunting, I am usually jeeping or fixing.

I know a ton about Colorado, and am willing to help anyone interested in hunting Colorado.

Here are a few pics from out adventures:

Welcome, and like you I am completely new to this.  My gun hasn't even left CVA yet (computer screw-up).  I have learned a lot from here this past week.  And I need to become friends with you so I can come down there and hunt lol!

wish I could afford to come to Colorado to hunt. Being a disabled vet makes things tight money wise. I enjoy all the folks here on the forum. If I ever win the lottery which I never play, so we know what my chances are there lol, then I will come visit you for a great hunt, anyway nice to have you and your family here.

Welcome aboard!! Really glad to have you here with us! What part of CO you living?

I got my first Jeep last year. A 73 cj5 with the 258 - 3 speed. An adventure to say the least! Love that winch set up on yours! I am looking at an 8,000lb winch for the front as well. Real handy to have on those nasty trails or even to drag game out of the timber.

Great looking Jeep. They are fun. I am building my wife a buggy now.

Hard to beat the 258 in these little Jeeps unless of course you go to a newer LS 350!

elks,
If I remember correctly I seen a special about a restaurant in RIFLE that the waitresses wear side arms. AWESOME. Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation
The news clip showed the girls waiting on customers with their pistols or revolvers on their hip. The restaurant also welcomed pistol packing folks. MY KIND OF PLACE :rtup

Welcome to the forum. We have a couple of things in common. I've also hunted Colorado all my life. Since the 50's. I've only lived here for 10 years, but I came to Colorado for a month every year to hunt elk and mule deer.

I was also heavy into rock crawling, and just wheeling with a club for 3 decades. Here's my Jeep that I built. I detuned for just a hunting/fishing Jeep now.
