had some down time on my nagant project so I started on my ar project. doing an ar from 80% finished receiver, it is legal under the gun act of 1968. no ffl needed. spend about 2weeks (because of a mistake of a depth drilling(way too shallow)) milling the receiver . finished up today. first time milling anything. used my drill press. went slowly very slow. keeping an eye on every thing. small errors. miss drilled the trigger opening. and one drill out hole just by a few 1000ths of inch.

omg that is there

sending the lower is being sent to a do it all guy I know to double check the work and depth. doing it in 556/223.

big update, done and painted.
lower parts kit on, had to clear a little more on the sides and bottom to fit the trigger.

decide to do the upper in 300blk. was looking into a 30cal hunting rifle. fits the bill. going to work both plinking loads and hunting loads. range pick up converted 223/556 brass (by me) for plinking. buying pre converted brass or factory loads hunting.
