S. NORTH U.S. MODEL 1816 FLINTLOCK PISTOL

S. North U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol. .54 caliber, 9 1/16" barrel, 15 1/4" overall length. This pistol is in good condition with clean metal  components and a mechanically sound action. There are two cracks visible on the left side of the stock and very few light handling marks throughout. A classic example of an American Officers Secondary Martial flintlock Pistol, ca. 1780-1810.

A Special Note On Authenticity: We try and follow the A.A.C.A and their policies of authenticity of providing 100% genuine artifacts to the collecting community. There is nothing worse than a buyer getting taken by an unscrupulous con artist operating here on the Internet. In our experience, We have found that over 50% of the artifacts publicly offered are either fake, been re-chipped, modified, mistyped or misrepresented. This hurts collectors and honest dealers, alike. You can count on us to provide verified, vetted and genuine objects to the best of our ability.

NOTE: Some Historical Societies, State Historical Sales, or Estate Sales showing items being sold may be misleading in their advertising in some cases, making one think the articles listed are from that estate only. When in truth they may have been accumulated from several locations, brought to one different location, and offered as part of the current sale. This is found in many of the older sales held in the past century. Always make your purchases with this in mind.
