Got the sporterized bolt installed, Timney trigger install and then inletted the wood stock. In the end, I believe I am going to upgrade the stock once I have the receiver drilled and tapped for the Rock Solid Inc. scope mount.

FG, sure you want to do that? Moisin Nagants, (I am quoting a friend here so forgive me.)

"Were crapped out and handed to Russian soldiers with one loaded magazine because they would jam after that, but men were cheaper than tanks."

I have one so I am not casting aspersions.

The rifle is not worth the upgrades. Even with your magic touch.

they were handed with one loaded magazine because the russians were super low on ammo. They are a solid rifle and actually one of the best during WW2 for snipering.

Trust me, shes worth every penny for upgrading. Mine is the m44 hungarian made version. My brother has the russian m1891-30. Awesome rifles.

Agnes, the native woman on "Life Below Zero" on Nat'l Geo. shoots all her caribou, seals, and other critters with a Moisin Nagant (unmodified).

Found one more addition I may add later down the road. The tanker muzzle brake. This m44 has the tiny 20" barrel and shoots a 6 foot flame ( no joke) and has some very stiff recoil.

Shes been a great little rifle and I think once she has a few upgrades it will make it even better in the long run. I've shot it out to 400 yards with the open sights and hit with great consistency but this scope is a great game changer!

Heres a video of it some years ago with my nephews friend shooting it.
