PostSubject: Blowby On Wolf Breach Area   Sun Jan 10, 2016 6:05 pm

Got a new Wolf. Sighted it in, and noticed that the breach area really gets fouled. I have read about shim kits, and O rings. Am I right to assume the shim kits replace the factory O ring on the firing pin bushing ? What about O rings ? Am I correct in assuming they go into the breach plug where the primer is inserted ?  Any help or recommendations is appreciated.

The shim kit is a permanent fix, were the O ring has to be replace after so many shot. I would highly recommend the shim kit and no it does not replace the O ring in the firing pin bushing, the shims are used in conjunction with the O ring on the bushing.

What primer are you using ?  I use the Winchester blue box which is the longest and solved the problem in 2 of my rifles .
