I have a couple buddies that drew ML tags this year and want to purchase a new ML.  I shoot Knights or custom guns, so I can not speak first hand about the CVA guns.  Which gun do you recommend the Optima or the Accura?

Well that is a hard choice as I've owned both.

I love the thumb hole optima, it feels great, but in CO, open sights are a must, so the Accura v2 won that due to the thumb hole stock working perfect with scope and sights.

The triggers now days are about equal ever since they went with a heavier hammer spring for the north west version rifles.

Since you are in NM, I say thumb hole Optima, possibly Nitride finish as well.

I own the Accura MR.  Accurate, easy to clean and looks good.  But, bang for the buck, the Optima is the best out there.  I agree with Jon, the Optima Nitride Thumbhole is one heck of an option.  I bought one for my nephew last year and almost kept it.  Feels amazing and looks even better. Nephew took a nice buck at 130 yards right through the boiler room with it. It is very accurate and not picky about what you shove down the barrel. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks guys.  I was leaning towards recommending they get the Optima V2.  This kind of sealed the deal.
