My Mom was with me at Knob Creek range in Kentucky.
I love this pic, but my Mom is not too fond of it.
Shhh! Don't tell her I posted it.

She is in her 70's and will still go to a range with me.
Happy Mother's Day, all.

I am the sentimental type, so I made up a poem and card for my wife for Mother's Day:

As Dictated to Me by Our Cats:

Thank you for the food you bring,
And for the little cat nip thing.
Thank you for your friendly talks,
And when you change our litter box.
Thanks for letting us on your chest,
For fur and hair balls and all the rest.
I thank you for so much you do,
And most for cleaning out our poo.
You are our mostest favorite Mom,
But we like Dad better.

I'm betting you didn't have the guts to let her read it. If you did let her read it, you have guts but not brains.   Dunno

Oh, yeh, she read it. And the picture on the cover of the card I made up is composed of an actual photograph of her and a medieval mace I photo-shopped into her hand.

Thanks.

That range was the one I used when I was young-
when I used a range, that is...

It sits pointed into a deep ravine that is perfect for a natural berm.

Knob Creek is the site of "Guntucky." It is a reality show based at the range.
They have a reputation for their annual shooting event. Vehicle mounted .50 calibers
and such. Explosives. Shooting concentrated fire onto a bus. Things like that.

More than a few 'unique' Moms show up then. Smile

I want to see Guntucky, but can not seem to find it on cable.

I think they changed the name to "Justified."  Suspect

Shoot. That is a different show. Justified has six seasons. Guntucky does not.

Still can't find that show. I know they got paid for it. Knob Creek sells T-Shirts
from it and installed a new bridge and expanded their building space from the
TV money.

"I think they changed the name to "Justified."  "

That was an attempt at Kentucky/gun culture humor. Obviously, a very weak attempt. Dunno

"Justified": Semi-honest Harlan County boy is a federal marshal who likes to shoot crooks and drink whiskey. Trouble is that everyone he knows from boyhood is a crook including his dad and all his relatives.
You can guess the rest. The title refers to justifiable shootings.
