PostSubject: Rain, Rain And More Rain   June 13th 2016, 6:55 pm

In the past week we've had over 10 inches of rain. Since the first of May we have received 25 inches in the rain gauges. Early this morning we got 3 inches of rain. Yesterday morning we had 2.5 inches.

West Cache Creek at our deer lease has flooded at least four times this year. A couple more floods and the old barn is a goner. Much work needs done at the lease. It will take at least a month to dry out.

Been driving the roads shooting hogs in wheatfields.

I could use some of that rain here as it is drier than a popcorn fart!

Our yearly precipitation average is under 10" and we are way behind that this year.

At least you are thinning out the hogs.  :rtup

Yikes......6" in one month is the most I've ever seen here in Northern Idaho...which caused a considerable amount of flooding, especially along the St Joe and Coeur d'Alene river.

Hilly/mountainous areas that get much rain result in damaging floods and a lot of destruction. Flat places can handle a lot more rain without much damage. Our sandy soil in Florida soaks it right up. Katrina dropped 16" of rain on us in one day and it only filled up the ponds .. almost no flooding but it made for the best duck hunting I've ever had.

I hope none of you have flooding in your house. Check out this outfit:  www.aquadam.net
