Hello. I've been around for some time... I think it's time to say hello. I'm from Spain and modern muzzleloaders are not very common here.

I found this great forum and I would like to take part of it.

I am interested in cap and ball revolvers and bp rifles. I hace two Uberti remies and a Pursuit inline.

WELCOME to the forum Exclamation Exclamation
All the way from Spain. That's great. Glad you decided to come out of the shadows. As you already know this is a great place to sit and ask questions and laugh and join in on the group discussions. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that know about traditional and the modern in lines. Ask your questions and I know you'll get your question answered. Weigh all the answers and then draw your own conclusion and do whats right for you. Remember, all guns are not the same and will shoot differently.
Glad your with us,

Ray............. t up

What a cool place to hang your hat. So much rich history...

You would not happen to be from the Basque region, would you?
Another cool area... I wondered because I have read that they value
certain traditional ways, too? Forgive me if I am out of line. I am speaking
from ignorance and curiosity.

Bottom line? How did you come to enjoy black powder? It is a little more
complicated than just walking into a store there, eh?

Thanks for the warm welcome.

No, I'm not from the Vasque country but you're right it's a very interesting region of Spain. For those who like traditional weapons, most of the weapons industry of the country was (and still is) located in this region. Bergara barrels are manufactured there, as well as Traditions firearms...

Traditional muzzleloaders are becoming more and more popular. Below you can find some pictures of the last national championship:

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did.

Until now I've only participated in local and regional championships with my Remies.

You're right muzzleloading is a complex hobby but this is part of the fun.

Regards.

Welcome to the forum! I am glad to have you here with us. Its nice to have new folks signing up from other countries and sharing their experiences with us.

I saw this picture and fell in love! What a kick ass looking muzzle loader. I've never seen such a stock design like that!

Are muzzle loaders/black powder difficult to obtain in spain?
