Now that I have been driving for a week or so and regularly attending cardiac rehab, I may be ready to go to the outdoor range and SHOOT.

My stamina is not yet very good, but I always can just sit in the car if fatigue sets in. I could decrease the powder loads so that the recoil doesn't cause undue stress on my chest.  Another option would be to shoot pistols. Maybe it would be a good idea to go with someone.

Talk about getting an itchy trigger finger! I can almost smell the sulfur in the air.
Ron

Great, Al! I was planning to go up to Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club just west of Idaho Springs. It is only 25 minutes drive, whereas Ft. Lupton is at least double that.
IF I do, it will be later in the week. Cardiac rehab today and Wednesday, treadmill repair on Wednesday afternoon.
Here is how I clean my muzzleloaders in preparation for a range day:

Ron
