Laying in bed this morning, Clair and I noticed a decent bull moose running across the property.  I jumped out of bed ang grunted at him and he stopped and then carried on with his mission to no where,  which the bulls seem to do this time of year.......great to be above ground this time of year!

I don't get along with moose. Every time I see one it charges me. I try to explain to them that I don't have a moose tag and never will, but they don't listen.

Dumb moose.

Is it Cowboys or "Mountain Men" that don't take baths, they just dust themselves off.  Very Happy

Well, i'm not a cowboy.

Bathing is over-rated.

I remember seeing this cow last spring a year ago......she was tall sleek but very pregnant. She hung around until the twins were born and then disappeared until last winter when the trio showed up......photos taken from the safety of the back door.

One of a pair (twins?) "palm" size bulls from two years ago.....every body comes into our ponds....but mostly passing through except for the whitetails.

Here's a grumpy cow that came after me right after I took this picture. Her brother is somewhere close by. They rule this area.

A large bull moose showed up in our little city many years ago.  The DNR officials said it probably had a worm in it's ear that causes them to just wander.  They put it down in the name of public safety fearing it would walk out on the highway.
