PostSubject: CVA Optima Pro V1 breech plug / Blackhorn 209   October 28th 2016, 2:28 pm

Hi guys. New to this forum.
I have a CVA Optima with the old style breech plug. I decided to buy a jug of Blackhorn 209, now I read I need a special breech plug. I see V2 breech plugs for Blackhorn, but nothing on the elder plug.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks! Prof

Got my issue resolved - my apologies on the post.
Research showed Eds Gun Shop down in NC had them.

Talk to Carlos or e mail him at ED's and he can fix you up with the old style BP to be able to shoot BH 209, he did a couple for me.

With the older BP you can use the metric o ring, that go into the primer pocket or try winchester 209 primers, either one to help cut the blow back, On mine, I used both with O blow back around the primers.
