I have an older friend, age 82 that is a certified knife maker and over the years I've taken him to lots of Doctors appointments, some as far away as 90 miles a time or two. I've never asked him for a dime for fuel as IMO it was just the right thing to do. Lives about two miles north of my place and a Vet from the Korean War. Several years ago I asked him to make me a Bowie knife in his spare time and today he brought me this, complete with the deer horn holder.

Untitled by Sharps Man, on Flickr

Knife has a 14" length blade and it's SHARP! He said...."Here's what you asked for and my thanks for taking me all those miles!"

Makes a good Christmas gift for certain. cheers :suhlute

Thats one of the nicest bowie knives I have ever seen. Im not much for a knife that large but that one would be welcome at my house anytime. Beautiful Sharpsman and its great of you to do all you have done for him. Al

It's more of a 'show piece' than a working knife but I have to admit if I were going to be in a fight with a Grizz.....I'd want it!! Laughing :rtup
