I was in the market for a new CVA Accura MR nitrite model.  I was going to get one from Carlos but stumbled on this one on Gunbroker.  The seller says it was only fired 3 times.  The price was right so now it's on the way to my house!

Joe! Have you given up on the traditional rifles and switched to the new-fangled ones?
Say it ain't so, Joe. Sad

Oh no, couldn't pass up a good deal. I still like the traditional muzzleloader also. 👍

In my opinion, it's the best muzzy out there right now.  You picked up a heck of a gun.

USPS delivered it on Monday!  It needed a little cleaning but the Accura MR is in perfect shape.  My DNZ Game Reaper scope mount is being delivered on Thursday.  I'm bidding on a scope in ebay, have to wait till Sunday to see how I make out there.

Always fun when new toys come in! Give it a good scrubbing and fondle it until the other toys to finish it off come in!

Got the MR fitted: Nikon Monarch 2-8X32, DNZ scope mount, and a Slogan Outdoors rifle sling.  Ready for the range!

Joe,
How do you like the rifle especially the stocks? I wasn't to happy with the camo stocks that are on that rifle so I removed them and put the black stocks from my original Accura V2 MR that would chip.
Was just wondering buddy.

Hi Ray, well.....I had the original Accura MR with the greenish baked on finish and camo stock set.  I "never" had a problem with the chipping on the stock just some minor wearing on the barrel near the muzzle.  I sent it in to CVA and they replaced it with a brand new rifle, however, exactly the same rifle, so I sold it.  I liked the looks of the Nitride model a lot better.  I'll keep an on the stock for any wear or shipping.  IMO..... the one feature where CVA misses on is the "butt pad".  If they would go to a LimbSaver it would be perfect!

Thanks

Have a great time with that new rifle. Your right.  A Limb Saver would be great.

I never understood why they switched to the harder recoil pad. It still does a good job but the old squishy model pads they had were nicer.
