In an attempt to understand more of the influences of the Harpers Ferry model 1803 upon Jake Hawken and his partner James Lakenan, I acquired a couple more books: United States Martial Flintlocks by Robert Reilly and Maryland Longrifles by Hartzler and Whisker.  So, now I am bogged down with my studies, but it is a very enlightening study.

The famous J&S Hawken (full-stock flintlock) that had everyone looking for them back in the 70's and 80's. Then GRRW started building them at that time.

This one is available all you need to do is Contact Doc White at the address of his website. My the way he's got more guns to build than one should be allowed to own, most are available if interested.
