Well, Bob has put me off of one of life's guilty pleasures.
No more moonshine for me! Sad

I don't know if I should thank him or smack him...

The teeth of those guys don't have anything to do with lead ... that's just 'trashy dental care.'
The lead causes that thin line in the gums above the teeth that looks like a pencil line. It's a symptom of lead poisoning.

My BIL never drank alcohol in his life but he got a lead line from refurbishing old houses that had lead paint. He had the shakes for over a year before the lead was excreted from his system.

i've had lead poisoning twice.  Both times from burning millions of rounds of military small arms ammunition and cleaning out the burn pits and furnace.

i came down with  lead poisoning in 1992 after destroying hundreds of millions of small arms ammo from Desert Storm.   i simply took large doses of vitamin C every day.   Six months later there was no sign of lead poisoning.

Why destroy all that ammo?

(I think I know the answer: because it's the US government working as usual.)  :tdown2

Stuff was unserviceable due to sitting unpacked in the elements and loss of lot numbers.  Those 200 round SAW magazines  cost over $100 at the time:   i destroyed tens of thousands.
