Hey if I hike over two mountains  and cover probably 2.5 miles, will anyone come pack this bull out for me? Lol.

Bunch of elk but it would kill us to pack out a cow or worse, my bull.

If I could do it at your age you can do it too! Just think of the weight as pure gold.

Quarter. Pick up. Walk. Set down. Repeat.

Or, call in a chopper.

Get that elk!

PS. I am jealous.

That elk looks like it's wearing deer hair ... or is that a deer with the hole in its neck?

I love being on this site. Its the only place where I can be lumped in with 'Kids.'
(See way above, chopper commentary.)

Who says it doesn't pay to be hang out with Geezers? I feel younger by the minute.
You old farts just keep getting older so I can look young by comparison. LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing

Lol the things I wake up to.

I used my traditions st.louis Hawken .50 kit gun with 70gr 3fg goex. 020 patch and home made .490 round ball.

Tomorrow we'll be packing up and heading home. All the coolers are full. Maybe we can find a doe for my dad today.

One thing for sure, I get golf ball size entrance wounds and .50cal ball size exits on both animals.

Awesome time!

We're about to head out for deer  and grouse now.

I even took a special pic with my bull, holding up the ( you're #1) finger for the aholes that gave me so much bs over using a patched round ball for elk lol.

I hope it was with one of the ones that you cast and that wasnt the right mixture either. All I got from my trip was a broken rib from riding the 4 wheeler up the Grizzly Helena trail. We walked our rears off for 2 days and didnt see a thing. Came within 30 ft of some sheep ewes and saw a bunch of does. I had a cow tag. No one else in the area had much luck either. It was to dry and warm plus when you hunt in areas bordered by these huge ranches with private ground guess where the elk are. Ya Im jealous maybe I need to play the lotto more and become a billonaire snob big time ranch owner.

WHERE ARE THE PICS? That's all we care about. Twisted Evil

I went bow hunting this morning and only saw squirrels .. and a hawk that flew right at my face. I had to stick my bow up to keep it from smacking into my head. He landed 15 feet away and kept eye balling me.  :Hide
