I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this but however I feel I know it isn't good!

The Silencerco Maxim 50 muzzleloader.  A silencer permanently mounted on a Traditions Muzzleloader.

I ain't schlepping that big ole ugly thing around in the woods. I like the sound and look of my BP in the wind. Did I mention its UGLY? The whole thing just seems silly to me. If I see you in the woods with one of these, my opinion of your horse sense will take an automatic dive.

Come on now, KC, I know you're dying to acquire this gem.

It even breaks down so you can smuggle it into restricted spaces easier.

Got the wife one of these with a Burris Red Dot scope, now have a silencer on order. The setup is for junior comp. target shooting, the instructors really push the silencers to help with noise on an indoor range. I have a Ruger 10/22 set up the same and it does have a legal silencer.  By the way todays silencers are not the silent ones seen in the movies, they just knock the loud crack of a round fired but can still be heard. Don't believe the movies or those against them, in our case if it saves her hearing we'll use them, my hearing after years of shooting and open exhaust race cars is at a 68% loss. That's why I can do a "HUH" at KC and get away with it...  Surprised   Smile

Like anything we see or look at, there's a place, a market and use for most items or they wouldn't make them.
