Bought a .36 caliber T/C Seneca from an online auction
and yes I paid for it big time.
As new, maybe unfired.
They were discontinued decades ago.
In 1996, a major fire broke out in the factory destroying all tooling and parts for three of their muzzle loading firearms lines: the Seneca rifle, the Patriot pistol, and the Scout which was one of their newer in line muzzle loaders. As a result, they were discontinued in 1997.

20 years ago. How many were used by the unknowing
and put away without being cleaned properly?
If one wants a Seneca find one and then it has to be
for sale.
I already have a Seneca .45.
This black power shooting and buying muzzle loaders
is sooooooooooooo addictive.

I've never seen a .36 Seneca for sale in the past 4 years that I could afford.

In a ten year period with a .36 caliber Poor Boy built by Carl Walker of GRRW at the time, I must have put down at least a dozen or more mulies with this rifle. Shot a Speer .350 round ball with .015 Bridger's Best patches and 55 grains of Goex 3F. Sounded like a .22 Hornet with the loud crack, boy what a fun gun a true killing machine.

I paid ridiculous money for it. They haven't been made for around 30 years so a nice
clean one is a hard one to find.
Over $600 bucks. If it's kept nice it will only appreciate in value so my kids can sell
it when I'm dead. ewwwwwwwwwwwwww perish the though at least for a while.
I bought a Smith s.s. 41 mag. 8 3/8" years ago for $300 and it had been ported
and tuned by some pro outfit in Mich.
Saw just one on an online auction site bidding started at $1200.00.
I'm 71 now and spending my kids inheritance. Laughing
Believe me they can fight over the spoils. Plenty of it. Not bucks but house & acreage.
