PostSubject: TC trigger ?   October 29th 2017, 11:29 am

I have a TC Hawkins in 50 cal with the double set trigger. When I pull the hammer back all the way and set the trigger and pull it the hammer only falls to like half cock. I can push the hammer forward a little til it hits the nipple. Also when pulling the trigger there is about 1/8th inch of movement befor the gun fires.
Any idea's on this ? Could the trigger be out of adjustment ?

The triggers are way out of adjustment. Look on the TC website for the users manual and see if the have the diagram on how to adjust it.

Adjusting is easy. Pull the hammer to full cock. Set the rear trigger. Then slowly turn in the adjusting screw closckwise until the hammer falls. Then turn the screw out counterclockwise one turn.

Make sure the lock is nice and clean too. Spray it out with a cleaner real good and then oil.

Is that the only adjustment screw or is there any more inside on the lock ?
