Its going to be a great day sunny outside and Im headed to the range for some shooting time with Ron C. I havent had any trigger time for quite sometime. Matter of fact the last time was with Ron. There is also the entertainment value. But Ron provides that I dont need to bring any.  cheers

Ron and I had a great time it was good to see him once again. Ron brought his 50 cal Hawken he hadnt shot and I brought the good ole Lyman Trade rifle in 54 cal. I wanted to bring my Pennsylvania Flinter but I had sent the lock to Jack Brooks to have the frizzen spring lightened and the lock tuned. It was eating up my rocks to fast. Our range is great you can shoot steel , paper targets or you can lay clays on the berm under the steel swingers. Im not a paper target guy at all I like those reactive targets. I had fun busting clays at the 50 yard line and Ron put some black powered gray balls thru some paper targets. Hey Ron hope you made it home ok. Al

Al where are you guys shooting at, possibly Golden Gun Club?  Another question, Ron said a while back that old Camp George West was no longer around, where did the guard move to?

Buck
I have shot at the Golden Gun Club with Ron but this last time we shot at the Ft Lupton Muzzleloaders club. Maybe you know where that is. Right along the Platte River to the north and west of Ft Lupton. They only allow muzzleloaders there no other guns are allowed. Phil Ron and I are all members there. Im not sure about your Camp George question. Al

I was a member of the Ft. Lupton Club for years when they still had the wide spot in the road on H85 and the range was down in the field NW of the museum. Ken "Mountain Eagle" Malon was running the museum at the time, the South Platte Free Trapper's with Red Swazey would hang our there on the weekends.

Ron had said Camp George (National Guard) had left Golden, they held some monthly - really good muzzleloading shoots.
