Howdy.  I dont own a muzzleloader at present, but I would like another.  I once had a Lymans trade rifle, and probably will get similar again when the right gun and money find me at the same time.       I enjoy tradition in all aspects of my life, and figured I'd check out your forum.

Howdy, Bazoo! I just walked in the door from a trip to Kentucky.
I am exhausted, but happy. KY is beautiful this time of year.

The folks around here are very helpful with good advice and knowledge.

Bazoo it appears that we Southerners are a rare breed here.  I'm in N Alabama, but I have a son living up your way in Grayson County KY just off the Western Kentucky Parkway.  I only know of one other fellow in this area shooting traditional BP Firearms and he only does reenactments.  I'm quite lonely when I go to the range and everyone moves away from me because of the smoke. Very Happy

Howdy Rick. I dont have but a couple shooting buddies.   One has a muzzle loader, a cva bobcat.  I dont have one presently, but am looking for a deal on something along the lines of a lyman trade rifle, as I had previously.      I shoot on our farm, but there is a couple ranges around.  I've never been to them. Knob Creek range with the machine gun shoot is in my county, and there is an indoor pistol range in town.   Im sad for folks that dont have an area to shoot, and if I meet someone that needs it, i offer my range.  I have few takers though, cause most folks only shoot once or twice a year, or they have their own farms.     Mostly I shoot alone, or with my wife.   Unless some of my friends want to get together to shoot clays.     Which brings me to my next subject... I'd love a double barrel percussion shotgun.  CVA made one real reasonable, and that'd suit me,  provided I could run across one.

I  got one of the CVA shotguns about 3-4 years ago for $300. I've used it a lot on doves, ducks, squirrels, and coons. If you get one, you won't be sorry.
