Well I admit to being partial to Marlin's, never could get a Winchester to shoot as good, though nothing feels as good or carries as well as Win. 1894 or 92. Here goes!
Marlin 336-A. 35 Rem, half mag, 1957 model
336-30/30x2, both pre safteys
1894-44mag, 1970's
1984-357mag,1980
39 1980 model-.22, golden trigger
1895 Guide gun,45/70, ported, first year manf.
All these guns are shooters/hunters, but all except one are at 90%.
I figure if I cant get it done with this battery, I might as well give up!

Yes I know your on the Henry site so I have. But you can post pics here right from you computer. No hosting site needed. I got the 1886 and the knife as a package deal. Threw a bid at it on GB thinking I wouldnt stand a chance and won it. Al

Well, let's see.  First off I have the following:
Sav M99 in .250/3000 - my all time favorite with scores of deer to its credit.
Sav M99 in .308 - deer killer.
Marlin M95 (early one) 45/70 - it has laid low many a deer.
Marlin M94 .44mag - did its duty on deer.
Winchester (early) Trapper M94 in 30/30 - also did its duty.
Winchester trapper M94 in .45Colt - just a fun gun to shoot.
Marlin 39A .22LR bought new over 55 years ago.

Haven't hunted with any of them in years as I hunt exclusively with flintlocks.  They do get range time occasionally.

Big Al, yours looks a lot like mine. I would like to see those gold engravings closer. I like it. I have fired mine. It is very enjoyable. cheers

Ooooo.... So purrrdy.... (Slobber, slobber)

That engraving style is definitely done by the same team. I do not have the buffalo. I have deer and elk

Hey, Bob? I got mine for less than I spent on my GRRW. The exotic calibre may have lowered the price.
The engravings and Browning and lever convinced me to indulge. I have not regretted it.

If I owned a gun like that, it would be scratched and dinged pretty bad after the first hunting season. My speed is more like a Marlin 336 or Savage 99.

Browning produced some beautiful guns back then. I remember seeing those engraved models on the wall in the gun shops. Sadly I couldn't afford one then.

It would be impossible to list every lever gun we have owned. Anything from Spenser's in sporing and military versions, Henry's 44 rimfire, 1873's, 1866's, 1871, 1886's, 1892's, 1894's, Win 88's, in about every caliber produced. Still like the 73's in 45 Long Colt, 1886's in 30-06, and a well used 88 in .308 still in the safe. All originals in NRA Very Good to Fine Condition not the reproductions seen today.

Are you talking about modern inexpensive knock-offs of originals lever guns. What do you have that are originals. Like Henry's 44 rimfire, 1873's, 1866's, 1871, 1886's, 1892's, 1894's or maybe a Spenser or Savage?
