At 8:30 this morning my heat index was 103.  The humidity is about 400%, ain't no way this old man can get to the range to shoot in weather like this.  I can work outside for about an hour or so before the heat drives me in.  I wish I could, in fact I now have two rifles that came through Jon's hands that I need to get to the range.  My newest, the Prairie Hawken has had 20 rounds through it using Jon's"Shoot Out".  That's all it's been shot Sad

A Hoosier... I did not see this earlier. I was just getting to like our NMLRA National Shoot going new member. (Kentucky folk are often a little suspicious of Hoosiers... ever since Bobby Knight and IU started occasionally winning in basketball. But, I guess since that's over, so we can let it go.)

NMLRA CO Territorial was held at the South Platte Valley Historical Society this passed weekend. 41 Registered shooters. A lady down here shooting 50 cal round ball with 30 grains of powder putting up some real impressive scores in the In-Line bench Agg Match. Got a few of the traditional shooters banging steel gongs at 100 yards off the bench. Making traditional folks into believers that an In-Line can compete with round ball.

QUESTION:

Since when has the NMLRA gotten so weak kneed that they are shooting off benches, what happened to offhand matches?

"50 cal round ball with 30 grains" come on folks, really .... really ???  scratch  Sleep
