Is this a 200 grain gun like the Rem Ult?  Personally, I don’t care for bolt action muzzleloaders, I hate the limited access to the breech after you add glass.

I bet this one would work really well in it.

Custom PP mold i had Buffalo Arms make for me, it is a Cupped base Nose pour Mold, bullets drop at .443, Bullet measures 1.2” long, and weighs in at 420 Grains. With my Old 25% Cotton 9# Onion Skin paper they Patch up to .450-.451

Do you prefer using pure lead or composite lead...or doesn't it make a difference with that 420 grain custom thumper?

Marty,  I use 40-1 Alloy almost exclusively for all of my Cast bullets, From Grease Groove to Paper Patch, But i also use quite a bit of 20-1 and 30-1, I don’t use pure lead at all anymore. I really like my Paper Patch stuff for Benchrest/Targets where i am in a Controlled environment and can take my time to Swab good Between shots, But i MUCH prefer my Grease Groove Bullets for my style of Hunting. When you get a Paper Patch load dialed in they Can be really Accurate, But no more so than a Good Grease Groove. Really depends on the Gun, i have Pet loads for Both bullet types in all of my Muzzleloaders
