PostSubject: Some OLD lube   January 26th 2019, 3:06 pm

Slowly been collecting old lubes that have attractive labels and recently picked up this bottle of blue and gray maxi ball grease. The warning label caught me by surprise Laughing It makes me feel good about the lubes I sell. This stuff smells like lithium grease, only thicker. My plan is just to use the bottle as eye candy.

I had one of those Blue & Gray lubes years ago... Worked OK for me -- never swallowed!

I do have an old original bottle of Lehigh Valley Patch Lube if you're interested.

Maybe we can work a trade for some of your modern lube?

Jonathan I get a chance I'll send you a bottle for your collection of "Powder Hawks Pride" we had the rights to wholesale this for ten years. Moved a truck load through some of the major supply houses for a long time. The only reason we stopped dealing was my interests changed and got out of the manufacturing of muzzle-loading supplies and the wholesale business mainly because of a few suppliers beating us up on profit margins. That's about the time India, and other countries got involved with their price cutting, they would steal your idea and get away with it as they don't care about patents rights .... :tdown2

Guys years ago at a Johnny Cash show he walked out on stage and slipped. Look down walked around where he slid then said. "If there was a way to collect spit, I would have a large collection, are you guys trying to tell me something." The crowd went crazy laughing at the remark. Smile

So remember, we will collect the dumbest things and we are proud of the collection. cheers

HA! I was reading the info about what bore butter is and while reading through it, he noted that blue and gray lube was nothing but than lithium grease with a pigment added to darken it! LOL, I knew it smelled just like the white grease I use now and then for engine parts.
