.54 Lyman GPR, 235 gr LRB, 100 gr volume of 777 with a wool Bore Button and a .o15 pillow ticking patch. Prints 6 inches high at 50 yds. What will be the impact point at 100? I will shoot at 100 asap or we float away. I will post the results too.

Best guess at MV? I have no chronograph.

Not enough info to answer both questions.

If I knew what the MV was I could tell you where the POI would be at 100yds.

If I knew where the POI was at 100yds I could give you the MV.

Shooting 5" high at 50yds doesn't help. That can be changed with a sight adjustment.

I can safely say if it's shooting 5" high at 50yds it will still be high at 100yds. I don't know how much without knowing the MV.

6" high at 50 yards will be very very high at 100 yards.

6 inches high at 50 Shocked
Sounds like some sight adjustments are on order Neutral
Looking forward to how your smoke pole does at 100.  That's the only way to really know when it comes to particular loads.

So as it turns out, FrontierGander was right. About 8" high at 100. Although , I was having quite a hard time with a 20mph crossing wind. Had to wait for a calm spot for each shot. I was also having issues with intermittent hang fires too. Not a good day overall. Yep, gonna put on a new German Silver front sight and bring her down. I was really surprised at how badly the dirt was plowed up behind the target board. .54 LRB is nothing to laugh at!

Buy a Knight redhot nipple for it. It will help those hang fires with T7.

filing the front sight down will make it shoot higher.
