I'll be putting a 4 x 12 x 40 VORTEX scope on my .45 Apex later on, what would you recommend for a set of bases. Very Happy

With the Apex i think you have to use the base that originally came on the rifle due to the contour of it.

The .45 came with no sights or bases.

That .45 muzzy should have came with the base rail. No open sights is typical as its not exactly meant to be used with them.

My .45 Apex came with the rail, but was missing the open sight filler screws for the barrel. I asked CVA for them and they sent them to me.

Thanks Marty, just sent them an E-mail and explained how I had to get my .45 Apex. Stock & frame, then the barrel, then the forearm. Hopefully they will reply soon.

For the Apex and Accura, I highly recommend the Game Reaper (DZN?) SKU# 10034 for 1" scopes, height is high.

This is a 1 piece base/rings that has perfect alignment on all 4 screws for both rifles.

I am a big fan of 1 piece mounts. I do not like multiple connection points that can come loose.

I have the Game Reaper "Deadnutz" mount on my two Omega's and Triumph. They will be on all future guns!

I've heard that Rick, but when I had my Accura I called them everyday for a week and nobody answered the phone.

I wasn't impressed.

I can't complain about CVA's customer service. It's been very good to me so far.

A lot of people ( including myself ) take off work this time of year. Give CVA a chance to get back with you after the new year celebration period has passed and their move dust has settled.
