any one have one of these i saw a good deal on a new one at midsouth shooting supply. looking for a tradtional rifle in 50 or 54 caliber. how do you like this rifle and how did it shoot. looking for some input on these two was going to use it for elk and deer hunting. thanks

trade rifle is a pretty darn good solid rifle. A lot less weight than the GPR. I dont think you will go wrong with either of them.

If you want to strictly shoot round ball, go with the .54 as its probably THE best all around caliber for round balls and big game.

Trade rifle has a 28" barrel. GPR is 32".
