All those guns are great looking, and I know they are great shooters also. I myself have five frames with different barrels on them and they shoot great.

Hey Carlos, what was the most accurate bullet/sabot in your 50 cal encore? Currently using 250 SST/Harvester Crush Rib and wanting to go to Barnes TEZ for hunting. Your thoughts would be appreciated. (100 gr BH 209)

Tony, the most accurate combo for my Tc with the bergara barrel on it is the Barnes T-EZ 250 gr. with the blue sabots that come with them and 110 gr. of BH 209 and Fiocchi 616 209 primers. I don't have any problems shooting 250 yrds with this set up.

Colorado, I usually zero my guns in dead on at 100 yrds, and as far as to how much drop at 250 yrds. I don't have any idea since the Bushnell DOA have different steady lines for 150, 200 and 250 and once you zero dead on at 100 using the combo I mention above all you have to do is put the correct cross hair on the target and pull the trigger and she is there.

Thanks, Carlos. I'm taking your load out to the range next time. Thanks for your information. One other question. I'm buying a muzzleloader for my 13 yr old daughter. What do you charge to shorterize a muzzleloader barrel or do you even do that for others? I don't want to put you on the spot, just having problems with my girl and the forward weight on muzzleloaders.

I got tired of looking at the Pro Hunter with a scope that was not sighted in. I hit the range maybe 30 minutes before dark tonight and only had time to shoot 50yds. I fired a few 300gr Harvester PT's to get it centered then shot the group below. It was almost dark for the last shot of the group and I could see the small dot on the target clearly. I am satisfied with the DOA 250 replacement. Shots 1 and 3 are together, maybe I pulled shot 2. Laughing

Barnes 250 TMZ (BT), Harvester yellow CR sabot, 100gr BH209, CCI209M primer.

Do you want to get rid of that Simmons Aetec? I'd really like to have it especially if it's one of the older pre Master Series ones.
