PostSubject: looking for two scopes   looking for two scopes EmptySeptember 3rd 2011, 1:01 am

first thing i am cheap. (not by choice). I have luck with tasco scopes, but I am needing 2 scopes this year. one for an muzzleloader another for an center fire. my chooses are based on the amount of reviews and the stars.

first:
an aim sports 3-9 x 40 i found at sportsmans guild. for $30
http://www.aimsportsinc.com/catalog/index.php?l=product_detail&p=194

second:
black hawk tactical 3-9x40 also at sportsman guild for $30
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/black-hawk-tactical-scope.aspx?a=371467

hell looking at the post so far should just get both and test them out lol

Corey, if I were you, I would spend $60 on one scope rather that splitting the difference. I would get a Bushnell Banner I could afford, then save for my next scope. I've used too many inexpensive scopes and they don't belong on hunting guns. They will make you regret buying them. Just my 2 cents.

those two are out the window, one is going on my sidelock (yes an scoped sidelock) is going to be an tasco bucksight 3-9 x 40, it is the tasco model i have had a lot of luck with. over 4 yrs old, been on an savage 110 30 -06 and been on my knight usak for 3yrs. it has taken some recoil in its time.

the other has to be LER scope. due to the mounting system I will be using. 32 reviews 4.4stars on optic plant, suggested for mosin nagant,

that is my feelings, rick

I am truly an budget shooter, I cast my own bullets. $11 to 20 for 100lbs of unsorted WW. maybe 85% to 90% yield on useable stuff. range lead cost of gas.

as for scopes, yes I will like to put nikons on my guns but i just can bring myself to buy scopes that cost as much as the guns I put them on. I find deals all the time.

maybe when every I get the stock done for my win apex maybe i will put an nice scope on it.

did get an new scope tonight for my silver eagle an tc mounted on it now.

If you buy a cheap scope and you're unhappy with it .... you will remember the price forever. If you spend more and are happy with the scope ... you will soon forget the price.

Spend a bit more and get a better scope you will be happy with.
