what do you guys recommend for a BP squirrel gun

32-36 cal would be perfect. Right now, a great production squirrel rifle is the traditions crockett in .32cal

Pedersoli makes a 32 and 36 as well but they are not cheap. Cabelas sells them too.

Just joking Drummy. methinks a .32 will work mighty fine for small critters. Been thinking about one meself to take over the duties of the old .22lr Smile

I shoot a little .40 caliber flintlock longrifle that I'm real partial to...but for someone just starting I'd go with that .36 caliber in a percussion. Wink

With real black the .36 will be a better option as it won't foul as fast as the .32, and it packs more punch !
