SCOPE WOES Empty
PostSubject: SCOPE WOES   SCOPE WOES EmptyJuly 27th 2012, 3:55 pm

Got started with my V2 today & after a few shots something appeared inside of my scope. (It's a Bushnell Trophy XLT) It looks like a little bug & my guess is it's actually a small piece of lint or something like that. It's right over the left side crosshair where the wire size changes & it's just distracting enough to annoy me. Hopefully Bushnelll will give me a good experience. So, my V2 is down for a bit, & the camo is worn off my Apex stock, so I'll send that in too. At least I still have my Optima & my Knight, & my TC's.

Is the camo wearing off a common problem?

Jon...no, it's camo. I did have another scope under a different brand built by them & it was black & the ocular lens fell out of it.

Pete, they told me that it is not common, but that if you wear a bug repellent with Deet & you get it on your hands, that will cause it. However I wasn't using any repellent. At least CVA is going to swap it for free.

GregK, did the camo wear off recently or has it been wearing off for a little while? Reason I ask because I remember someone a little while back mentioning this same thing but can't remember who it was. I think I recall them sending theirs back also so maybe it wasn't you?

Yeah it was me. It's only worn to a certain point & then stopped. I just never got around to sending it back & now that my V2 is gonna be down, I might as well do the Apex at the same time, especially since it's been so hot.
