I've been eyeballing the Accura MR for a while and had my mitts on one at Cabela's this weekend. It's a combo package with a factory boresighted Konus scope. Is there something to be said for buying this combo (as I'm new to muzzleloading) vs. buying a rifle and scope separately as a first purchase?

I like the combo packages. I've bought three of them. It's a nice gun case, and the scope is better than you might think for an inexpensive scope.

I don't think you'll be disappointed, but I wouldn't buy from Cabelas. Their prices are high. Buy from Carlos who works at Ed's Gun Shop. He'll treat you right, and will give you a better price than anywhere else. The info is on this forum to contact him. He's a member here, and you can talk to him in a PM. His forum name is Cvilorio.

I'd also go through carlos.

The konus scopes are extremely nice, we have 2 of them with 1 more on the way.

I thought they had problems with the Konus Pro or am I mistaken?

I'm thinking the 3-10x44 model was the one I heard about, but maybe it was something else, hmmmmmm

not sure, i never read anything. Ive used the 3-10-44 for going on 3 years now, probably a solid 15,000 shots through it on everything from a muzzleloader to a mosin nagant, 3006, ak47 and zero issues.

Jon...what about the 275? I'm just sure there was one model & I'm kind of thinking about ordering one & it would have been one of those two models

Ive only shot 2 ML's with the 275 and they were as clear as the scope i have now. Does the BDC thing work? i couldnt tell you as i didnt try it at the time. I do want to try one of those next.

Man.....I really must have gotten that one mixed up. I have the BDC styles on my Trophy XLT's & have never used them. I just like the scope.
