Can anyone tell me why a "one" pound can of BH209 only 10 ounces in it if this stuff was not so great I would call it a ripoff

Just the way its sold. I love the stuff and so its worth every penny. No nasty cleaning anymore and consistent from the first shot out of the can, to the last.

It is a ripoff. No other way to look at it. They knew it was good (for inlines), so they started with high prices.

Much better if you buy a 5lb jug.

That's true but you have to lay out a bigger wad of cash at the time of purchase. My allowance ain't so big anymore. Laughing

The last time I placed my powder order with Carlos he didn't have any of the big jugs. So I ordered a few 10 oz. jugs. I'm good now for awhile.

I think it's $200. It used to be $175.

You get eight 10oz bottles in 5lbs.

I have not seen a 1 pound container of BH209 for sale.  They are not shorting anything by selling 10 oz containers.  It is clearly labeled as 10 oz on the package. When you make the best stuff available, you can charge more.  It's called marketing.

42 bucks for 10oz here at the local Gander Mtn, last season it was 32. Having to suffer through a 20+% pay reduction due to DoD furloughs (actually more like 45% - wife is also furloughed) I think the pyrodex I got for 10 bucks a can at walmart a few months ago will do fine.

looking to buy a powder flask for my BH209 powder. I have noticed the spout ranges from 20 grains to 80 grains. I believe I would want the 20 grain but not sure. ANY SUGGESTIONS would be appreciated. Am looing at the CVA flask. Thanks in advance.

You need to use a powder measure, so what the spout is doesn't matter. Don't use a spout to measure your powder. It's not accurate.

I have bought a powder measure which will measure from 40 to 200 grains. I just wanted a flask to carry extra powder. I have been trying to get up with Lane for his tubes but no returned reply.

TC You view flask. Use a dryer sheet and wipe the inside of it down to remove static.

The longer spout will probably be more convenient.
