I have always wanted one of these rifles & i finally kept trading & wound up trading for a new in box SPS 300RUM & i really do love this rifle it has a 26" barrel & i have worked up a excellent load for it also
1. Remington Brass New
 2. Hornady 190 Grn Interlock SBT
 3. Federal 215 Large Rifle Magnum Primer
 4. Hodgdon's RETUMBO Powder 90.0 grains Velocity 3,000 f.p.s.
Scope 6x18x50mm Swift Premier  used $80
I got a nice doe this past season but i was using the Hornady 178 A-Max I am switching to the Hornady The 178 A-Max did too much damage to the meat i was told by a member on a forum i am a member of to use the Hornady 190 or the Sierra 200 Grn SBT Gameking i can't find the Sierrs 200 no place that has them in stock so i will go with the Hornady 190 Grn Interlock & see how it does on deer

Yea they are awesome rifles. I bought an SPS in 223 for varmints. It is a tack driver. Heavy as all hell though!
