So we shot 110gr BH209 then we went in to get some sweat tea and I could here my other powder yelling what the crap dude we can shoot as good as that new stuff so we had a shoot off I got tired of marking shots cause we keep shooting the markings off.

Shots 1-5 Father in Law BH 209 110gr then swabbed with GOJO and switched to Triple 777
Shots 6-8 Brother In Law Triple 777 3F 110gr swabbed with GOJO between shots.
Shots 9-11 by me Pinnacle 3F 110gr swabbed with GOJO between shots

This was my way of testing BH209 vs other powders I have at the house....
Just wanted to test myself and see if it was that much better....

You have an interesting way of testing. If your happy with the results then that is all that matters. Very Happy

I was just trying to show that day that there wasnt enough point of impact or accuracy change for me to replace all my other powder with the BH209...

That's true. The whole group is good enough to hunt with. So, just shoot the powder you like.

Yeah I would agree that they are all good enough to hunt. You could shoot anything you want though including pellets and do just fine. BH209 shines in other areas though and maybe not for everyone and that's okay. I don't use any of it anymore though since switching to a smokeless gun.

What kind of breech set-up is on the Mag Hunter? I think my brother in law has one (i think) and if I remember correctly it has a slotted breech plug that isn't supposed to be used with BH209?

This is an observation, not a criticism:

I personally think that the results can't be trusted since you had 3 different shooters - one for each powder. Even though the gun is the same, shooters vary in their sight pictures and trigger squeezes.

To be a valid comparison, only one shooter should have been used throughout the test or all 3 shooters would shoot all 3 powders.

That would be better, and a separate target for each powder would be better too. I'd like to see Pyrodex added to the list too. It's still a popular powder.
