Apex & MR Shooters, as well as thumbhole Optima shooters, We now have an option for OPEN SIGHTS baby!!! I just mounted one on my Apex 3006 barrel to see if it will work with the high comb stock, fit like a glove!
http://www.seeallopensight.com/blackpowder/

When I get some time I will review this sight and see how well it works on the shooting range. Right now, the sight is crystal clear and super fast to line up. Legal in Colorado as well as other states that allow fiber optics. Does NOT magnify the target you are aiming at.

We'll see how they do! It comes into view super fast and easy to line up. I want to see how well the set screws hold up under recoil.

The guy that did the review on the website had it on a 12 gauge shotgun and said he was putting a good bit of rounds thru it with no problems.

I was playing with it today " No shooting" and it has a super heavy duty sight adjustment spring under the fiber optic, its pretty hard to rock it back a forth with your fingers. Maybe try it tomorrow on the Wolf since the '06 is all sighted in now.

Yeah the proof will be in the pudding .

Do you shoot with or without glasses Jon , as that might tell us how it will work with older eyes as well.

Well Spitfire, it looks like you have the bane of us old guys - presbyopia. Get a pair of "granny" glasses at your local discount store. You can look over the top for normal vision and read with the "half-eyes". You can buy them here for as little as $1.00/pair.

That is because your arms are getting too short! No worries, mine did that too, I can barely read anything up close without my cheaters anymore. I have pairs of readers laying all over the house and I can still never find them when I need them.

welp, shes been tested! I mounted it on my wolf just to get some info on how I like it and how it does. Very easy to adjust the sight and the eye can finally focus on the optic/target.
